As a staff product designer at the Wikimedia Foundation, I led the 2023 redesign of the Wikipedia desktop interface. Our team began the project in April, 2020, and launched in January, 2023.
Business results/data:
- 45% increased use of Table of Contents
- 29% increased use of Search
- Prefered by 87% of logged-in users
- 15% decrease in "navigational scrolling" to find tools, menu items, etc.
